Terms of service
The rules for using Aloha. Short enough to read. Honest enough to trust.
Agreement
By signing up for Aloha you're agreeing to these terms. If you're using Aloha on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that company. If you don't agree, don't create an account.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to use Aloha. Keep your password secret — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. If you notice unauthorised access, email security@usealoha.app immediately.
One person, one account. Workspaces can have multiple members; fresh accounts can't be spun up to evade rate limits, trials, or suspensions.
Acceptable use
Don't use Aloha to:
- Post content that's illegal where you or your audience lives.
- Harass, defame, or incite violence against people.
- Send spam — mass unsolicited DMs or comments, sock-puppet networks, engagement-farming botnets.
- Impersonate someone you're not authorised to represent.
- Probe, scan, or scrape our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer the product to build a direct competitor. (Writing about Aloha or building complementary tools is fine.)
If you see someone violating these rules, tell us at abuse@usealoha.app. We investigate every report.
Your content
Everything you post through Aloha — your drafts, your voice training data, your analytics exports, your templates — stays yours. We take the minimum licence we need to operate the service: a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, and display your content so that the product works. That licence ends when you delete the content.
We don't claim ownership of anything you write or post, and we don't use your content to train public AI models.
Our content
Aloha's software, UI, logo, and documentation are ours. You get the right to use them while you're a customer. When you stop being a customer, that right ends — you can keep using Aloha's public content (blog posts, this terms document) under the same terms as any website visitor.
Plans and billing
Free plans are free forever, within the limits described on the pricing page. Paid plans renew automatically at the advertised period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. We email you a receipt every time we charge you.
Refunds. If you cancel a yearly plan mid-term and you've been a customer for less than 90 days, email billing@usealoha.app for a prorated refund. After 90 days the plan runs to the end of its term.
Price changes. We'll give you at least 60 days' notice before any price increase on a plan you're on. If you disagree, you can cancel without penalty within that window.
Taxes. Prices exclude taxes. We add VAT, GST, or sales tax where required; you're responsible for any withholding tax in your jurisdiction.
Suspension and termination
We can suspend or terminate your account for repeated material breaches of these terms — spam, abuse, non-payment after reminders, fraud. Where practical we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. We can also terminate immediately in response to legal process or active security incidents.
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. When you terminate, your data is queued for deletion per the privacy policy. You can export first.
Availability
We try hard to keep Aloha up, but we don't promise 100% uptime. Enterprise plans come with a formal SLA (see Security & compliance); other plans are offered as-is. Live status is at /status.
Warranty disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Aloha is provided as-is. We don't warrant that the product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit a particular purpose. Your use is at your own risk — we build with care but software is software.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aloha has no liability for any claim arising out of these terms. We aren't liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — lost profits, lost goodwill, lost data (beyond what reasonable backup practice would have preserved), or any other loss arising from your use of the service.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; where that's the case, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by your law.
Indemnification
You'll defend and indemnify Aloha against any claim brought by a third party alleging that your content or your use of the service violates these terms or infringes someone else's rights.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms materially, we'll email all account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the change date means you accept the new terms. If you don't, cancel before the change date and these terms as-written still apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka — or, if you're a consumer, the courts of your country of residence if local law so requires.
